12 CFR § 1006.14(b)
Reg F 7-in-7 Counter
Contact frequency against Regulation F’s seven-calls-in-seven-days limit, so you know where an account sits before the next attempt.
What it does
- Counts the attempts that count. A ring with no answer counts; a busy signal or a dead number does not; a call inside a seven-day consent window is excluded. Every attempt in the log says which, and why.
- Runs both prongs of the rule: more than seven attempts in seven consecutive days, and any call within seven days of a conversation about the debt.
- Names the next date a call is presumptively compliant, before anyone dials.
- Quotes the rule it used, word for word, with the citation — the same text that is in Compliance Research Tools today.
Texts and emails are outside the count. Some states set a stricter limit than the federal rule; where one does, the tool says so and points at it.
Included with a seat. A seat opens every paid tool for one person.
